The JJB Irish Cup fixture with Glenavon, scheduled for 14th January 2012 at Mourneview Park, has been given a 2pm kick-off.  In addition, to cover additional security and stewarding costs, entrance charges have been raised to £11 and £7 concession.   As with the recent league game, this is an all-ticket match.

Following a security meeting yesterday (Mon 9th) the following was agreed:

  • Portadown have been allocated 1,000 tickets, with Glenavon receiving 909.
  • There will be no entry to the Social Club from inside the ground.
  • All spectators will be searched on entry to all viewing areas.
  • There will be 76 security personnel in attendance…….46 from select security and approx 30 from Glenavon/Portadown.
  • 5 TSG units will be in attendance…….in case they are needed inside the ground and to prevent attacks on buses outside.

PSNI are still investigating all the evidence from Boxing Day with a view to prosecuting ANYONE involved in the trouble.
They will do likewise for this Saturday
