Portadown took another welcome 3 points today in a 3 minute burst early in the second half against a 10 man Reds team who had midfielder George McMullan red-carded for an elbow on Shane McCabe in the first half. 

Matthew Tipton opened the scoring on 50 mins with a simple tap in after the Cliftonville keeper had saved his first effort then palmed the ball out to him for a second go.  Wes Boyle added a second 3 mins later with a superb 25 yard drive into the top corner from midway into the Cliftonville half. 

Kevin Braniff then joined George McMullan in the sin bin with a second yellow card  on 56mins.
