Portadown–Warrenpoint
3 - 0
Portadown continued their pre-season dominance as they cruised to a 3-nil win over a talented Warrenpoint side at Shamrock Park tonight. Richard Lecky made his first appearance of the season and bagged two goals, one in each half. Matthew Tipton scored the goal of the game with a sublime overhead late in the second half. The visitors played some neat football at times and had plenty of possession, but failed to trouble Ports keepers Miskelly and Murphy who played half a game each. Matthew Paget continued to impress for the Ports as manager Ronnie McFall gave a lot of his youngsters the chance to shine and none of them let him or the fans down.
A good work out for the Ports during a hectic week with another friendly away to Loughgall on Thursday evening followed by the Open Day match at home to Newry City on Saturday.
