Portadown started this seasons friendly fixtures with a 7-nil demolition of Bangor at a rainlashed Shamrock Park this afternoon.  Tipton(3), Braniff(2), O’Hara and Paget were the scorers in a comfortable victory which saw the Ports try out Chris Kingsberry and Tuda Murphy along with a number of young reserves. 

Portadowns next pre-season fixture is against Glenavon on Tuesday evening at 7:30pm in the Walter McIroy Testimonial game,  With Glenavon having been busy in the transfer market since the end of the last season, theres sure to be added interest in this fixture to see how their new players perform against a largely settled and experienced Ports side.
